Auto Insurance
My car is getting older why is my insurance premium going up?
- Even though your car is getting older, the other cars on the road are not and the cost to repair both the old and especially the newer vehicles is drastically going up.
Home Insurance
Why is the dwelling coverage on my home insurance at 600K but the value of my home is 1 Mil. do I have enough insurance?
- Remember the coverage is designed to replace your existing home, and the value of your home especially in California is derived from the actual dwelling, location, view, schools etc. So much of the value comes from the land, view, location etc. From an insurance perspective those items are still there in the event of a total loss. The insurance is there to replace the dwelling. I highly recommend that you speak to your agent to determine if the dwelling coverage is enough based on just your home. Some other reasons to contact your agent regarding this... Did you replace your roof, remodel your kitchen, add solar panels, upgrade your plumbing, HVAC or electrical systems? All those items and more can change the coverage needs.
Life Insurance
Why do I need to get a life insurance for my spouse that is a "stay at home spouse"?
- That stay at home spouse that might not bring income into the home absolutely saves you expenses. For example what does the spouse do? Gets the kids to school, shop, clean, takes kids to doctors appt, sport or dance classes etc. Who will do that in the event of the spouse passing? That Life insurance policy will not bring your spouse back but it will allow you to grieve without stressing over finances. When you get back on your feet most often those things your spouse took care of will need to be paid for.
